Abstract

This article describes the interim report on matching an image and a star chart using the PIXY system. Actually almost all cometary images exhibited in my home page were matched properly with star charts. First of all I introduce the overview of matching process in the PIXY system. Then I show you some experimental results. I also consider the precision of matching. Finally I emphasize that the matching method in the PIXY system is good for such applications as composition heterogeneous images or putting an real image on a chart.
