NSVS Light Curve (NSVS 16684855) Discovery InformationIt was detected by the PIXY system as one of the candidates of new variable stars from images taken by Ken-ichi Kadota, Ageo City, Saitama, Japan, then confirmed by Seiichi Yoshida. DZ Ser (peculiar nova in 1960) is 2.1 arcmin from this object, but probably this is another object. Special NotesTaichi Kato pointed out the possible identification with DZ Ser, a nova in 1960. Kato commented that DZ Ser is a 14-mag nova discovered in spectral observations. The position is very different on some papers as follows. Duerbeck 175812.72 -103350.35 (1950.0) Wyckoff and Wehinger 175812.8 -103400.5 (1950.0) However, Seiichi Yoshida revealed that it is found as a faint star on the DSS 1 and DSS 2 images, and it looks brighter on R-band image. So it will be a red variable. Research and Publication
