Discovery Information
Seiichi Yoshida, MISAO Project; Nobuo Ohkura and Youichirou Nakashima, Okayama, Japan; and Ken-ichi Kadota, MISAO Project, discovered a new variable star MisV1348.
It was picked up by Seiichi Yoshida from the candidates of new variable stars detected by the PIXY system 2 from images taken by Nobuo Ohkura and Youichirou Nakashima, and confirmed by Ken-ichi Kadota.
Kazuhiro Nakajima also confirmed the variation of this star by his time series photometry, and revealed that MisV1348 is a cepheid variable with a period of 2.68 days. Further observations are in progress.
