Statistics of Galaxies by Magnitude and Catalog

I investigated the number of bright galaxies, which can be targets of amateur supernova survey, and the ratio of source catalogs of them.

Some may think that most bright galaxies have NGC numbers. However, not a few bright galaxies do not have NGC numbers. Those with NGC numbers are 80% of all among galaxies brighter than 13 mag. The ratio goes down to 60% on galaxies brighter than 14 mag. Those with NGC numbers are only 30% of all among galaxies brighter than 15 mag.

I investigated the number of magnitude of galaxies using:
